The first thing you're going to have to frame out is what size your shower doors need to be. There is a suitable size, but there's also a opportunity that you've chosen to install a bathtub that is larger than the norm. If this is the case then you will need to look for distinct sized doors. Measure the opportunity of your shower or tub, and then you need to determine either you have a bathtub or a shower. This should certainly be fairly obvious, so take a look and frame out what type of doors you need to install. Note that bathtub doors are shorter than shower doors, so take that into inventory when you buy your doors.

Naturally the side tracks aren't required for shower door operation, but they do keep the side of the tub from being beat up.

Once you get everything set up as per the instructions that came with your shower doors, you need to hang the doors. Once again please do this as per the instructions to make sure that they certainly control smoothly. Once you hang the doors make sure that they are able to slide back and forth. If they do not seem to work properly, then you need to make sure that you hung them properly, and if you did so then you might not have set up the tracks properly. It is very prominent that you set up the tracks properly the first time because if you have to hang them again you may find that there is aesthetic damage to the tub which cannot be repaired.

If you did hang them properly then you can tour to put a layer of silicone nearby the corners of the track. Once you do this, you won't have to worry about water leaking past the seams and having bacteria grow in areas that you cannot reach without removing the shower door tracks.

It's right on not an easy task, but at the very least you will have a great finding shower! Many people have said that a glass door is the best type of door for a shower.
